Description
Add this vintage glass box to your vanity! The lid is beautifully cut with smooth beveling that catches the light. The box is raised on an ormolu footed base. Wonderful piece for glam style. Based on both research and knowledge of the estate sale this piece came from, it’s likely from the 1940s or 1950s. No cracks; 1 minor chip on the inside of the lid and 1 on the inner rim of the box – see photos.
Ormolu: a gold-colored alloy of copper, zinc, and sometimes tin, cast into desired shapes and often gilded, used especially in the 18th century for decorating furniture and making ornaments
Measurements: 3.75″ x 4.25″, 3.25″ tall
